Mascots and the Olympics

by Amy Nutt

The first Olympic mascot was introduced in 1972 at the Munich games. These mascots have become a very important element of the Olympics. It is an image that is unique and very popular because it materializes the spirit of the Olympics, promotes the history, and communicates the overall concept. This makes the Olympic mascot a must when it comes to the games. It is a must for children, for the general public, to display the uniqueness of each geographical area, and to relay the culture of the host city.

Waldi, the dachshund was the very first mascot in 1972. This is because the dachshund is a great representation of tenacity, resilience, and agility, which are the key elements an athlete possesses. This explains why he was a great choice as the first Olympic mascot. He was dressed in multiple pastel colors to express the joy and the gaiety of the Olympics. The introduction of the Olympic mascot was perhaps the most memorable mascot moment.

Bible Prophecy And Your Civil Liberties

Wednesday, August 20th, 2008
by keith mario

Jesus warned his disciples in some very sobering terms with regard to this earth’s final crisis. He said,”And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must be; but the end shall not be yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:” Mark 13:7,8.

He also pointed out that these matters must be, but the end is not yet. As a matter of fact there were and have been wars and rumors of wars on umpteen occasions since he pronounced the statement, but the conclusion is not yet. There were additional events that had to come to pass, but the prophetic implication is that these wars, and rumors thereof, will intensify as the end gets closer.

Trade Show Exhibiting For Bad Economic Times

Thursday, August 14th, 2008
by Dexter

Bad economic time has caused exhibitors to think of downsizing and or not exhibiting at various trade shows. Most of these exhibitors will however attend the shows, but only as attendee. Some of these same exhibitors are even resorting to putting on their own demos in local hotel suites near the main convention halls, Why? The costs to exhibit at main conventions are extremely high.

Trying these methods are not the answer, they only minimize your companies stature. Some of the drawbacks are as follows: Not attending the show at all will give the impression that your company is out of business or not doing well. B) The next time you wish to enter the show you will have lost your seniority and your preferred floor space. C) Reducing your booth space will only definitely minimize your company’s stature, especially if you go from a 20×30 down to a 10×10 booth space. I certainly would not count on this company being around for the next few years.

In the Last year we have seen he emergence of major fabric structures on the trade show floor. A great deal of exhibitors have gotten smart and started using fabric structure to lower their exhibiting cost. Yes, I did say lowering your exhibit cost, first of all fabric structure are extremely light weight, easy to ship and install

The other cost saving item in using fabric structure is the set up time and cost. They do however cost a bit more in the beginning however in the long run your save quite abit on your set up and shipping cost

Many Different Wines Many Different Styles

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008
by Sharon Thorley

Each vineyard is going to have personalized wine bottle labels. These labels tell a story about the wine, the vineyard and the history behind them. Each type of wine even from the same vineyard is going to have a slightly different label other than of course, the wine name that would be listed differently on the wine.

The wine label is much more personalized than simply providing information on the kind of wine, year of production, and warnings about drinking wine. Wine producers may have artworks designed specifically for the individual label, vintage, type of wine, or even the designer himself, sometime the label may even tell you the story about the wine maker, and the place where the wine is produced.
