Causes and Cures for Jetlag

Sunday, October 5th, 2008
by Diane Kelly

Physiological & biochemical processes of all living beings follow a 24-hour periodicity of daylight and darkness and this rhythmic functioning of the body is generally known as body clock. Traveling across a number of time zones in a short period of time disturbs the synchronism of the body clock with the changing daylight-darkness schedules and the body processes get disoriented. This condition is commonly called the jetlag.

Generally long distance air travelers face this situation and hence this condition is known as jetlag. Apart from travelers some other people such as those working night shifts for long periods at a stretch or working long hours for a number of days may also be affected by jetlag. Their working conditions create an environment which has different rhythm of body activities effectively creating a different daylight-darkness cycle.

If you’re planning to fly with your pet, you are part of a growing trend that has been increasing for the last number of years. Most airlines, for a nominal fee, will allow your small pet to fly with you if it will fit in a FAA approved pet carrier that can be stowed under your seat. The following is some important information can help you keep your pet healthy, safe, and happy on airplane flights.

When you are booking a flight, it’s a good idea to make reservations for yourself and your pet as early as possible. You have to let the airline know that you want to bring your pet with you. Don’t Lose Your Luggage When You Are Flying On A Vacation

Friday, October 3rd, 2008
by Dorothy Yamich

It has been estimated that more than a million bags are lost by the airlines each year in the U.S. alone. How many bags get lost in the whole world is anybody’s guess. Here are a few tips that might help you find your bags should they get lost.

Attach a couple of tags with your name, home address, and phone number to the handle and zipper-pulls of every bag that you are checking. There’s less of a chance that every tag could get torn off when in transit. Make sure that you’ve taken off any old airline tags that are still on your luggage as they could confuse the baggage handlers.

What’s going on in Cyprus?

Thursday, October 2nd, 2008
by Tim Martins

You may have heard of “Buy to Let” quite a lot recently on the financial section of Sky news and be wondering what this really means. Well it’s not too complicated as it implies, you buy a property and then you let it out. The only trick in order to do this successfully is to let the property out for more than your monthly mortgage payment.

Traditionally you would have the same rental income on a monthly basis but if you were to do the same with a holiday home then you would then get staggered monthly rental income depending on the season. So if you were to find such a holiday home in Europe, where could you invest in a property where the holiday season lasted the longest. Well that would be North Cyprus which boasts some 300 sunny days per year with a high season that lasts an amazing seven months. So you can see that North Cyprus is the place to get the best profits and even more than a traditional “Buy to Let”.

by Bob Matthews and Jenny Matthews

Perpetual Leverage is the financial brainchild of luxury vacation provider Global Resorts Network (GRN). GRN’s breakthrough compensation plan allows its members to earn $1000 checks over and over again to infinity. Here’s how the plan works:

Whenever member A signs up another member B, he A makes at least $500 to $1000. Now if member A did that just once a week, he would earn from $2000 to $4000 per month. Not bad for part-time work. Nor does A have long waits for his checks as with typical marketing networks where he could literally spend months recruiting new members before he would reach the $1000 check mark.

MOR Vacations: Investing Instead Of Just Spending!

Thursday, October 2nd, 2008
by Matt Willis

In this day and age, teens have more purchasing power than they ever had throughout history, and consumer companies recognize that and make the most out of teens’ desires for toys.

While most teens think about spending, based on what the media and marketing machinery scream that they should do, there is a better way than constantly whining for that iPod Nano, that Xbox, that Playstation or PSP. Because for around the same price as any of these, a teen can invest that money, in order to earn the money precisely for these toys.
